Fleeting shots.

DSC_0258

During long road trips , I enjoy looking out of the car window and searching for something interesting ! It is fun if you do not drive ! There are fleeting moments around us that we miss noticing while living a pretty still ,normal life.

Sometimes , I sit with a camera ( not the phone camera but my uni-functional camera and some lens ) and try to click things from certain angles and heights  .

Sometimes , I forget to remove the lens cover and the car passes the view !

Sometimes , I wait for something better to come and the car matches with 60 mile speed limit and crosses the natural beauty without giving my camera even a second to click!

But , I do not give up ! I always wait for a perfect moment to surrender to my lens !  Later , I call those pictures ” insignificant shots” due to some issue with angle or shutter speed ; but deep in my heart , they are just a few ephemeral moments !

  1. I love taking pictures from the car. I’m not great at it, I have a lot of sped blurred pictures but, occasionally I get that great shot and it’s worth the waste of film (yes I still have a film camera as well as a digital – I love my film camera lol) I love your car pictures, the bridge I really love 🙂

    1. I am pretty old schooled when we talk about photography. And you won’t believe it , but how technology generalizes talent when we have so many apps to correct a photo! My mom clicked perfect picturess using film camera ,I followed her too and have so many pictures . I , being the last generation who did not grow up with a cell phone , and first generation to use /build phone apps , know that love for film camera. 🙂 That bridge is amazing! Seeing it regularly , I fall for it so often ! :D..Thank you for your support and the comment , C.K. 🙂

      1. I don’t have bridges where I am, so I kind of miss them! I used to love driving over bridges early in the morning coming or going through NYC, the fog with the sun trying to burn through it was always magical. I grew up in the days of no cells, actually I had one a few years ago but it drove me nuts when I was out and people would call or text so I got rid of it 😉 I miss having a darkroom and developing pictures myself, yeah I’m that old school! Something about working with the chemicals and watching the pictures appear was awesome, more so than picking them up from a developer. Of course I have no place for a darkroom anymore 😉 So that’s not happening, plus I don’t take pictures like I used to.

        1. You are one talented art lover, C.K and that’s so visible on your posts. 🙂 Like you shared those beautiful photo development days , I miss my painting. I do not have much paintings kits with me now and do not have patience or time to do them like I used to do. 😦 In my small world ,you are the first person who developed picture in her dark room. Just loved reading your comment. *Hugs*

          1. I took photography all through HS and continued after. My sister was a professional photographer, I did it just for fun. I also used to paint 😉 I just took it up again, with Sam into art and having to spend so much time in the art studio with her it made me realize how much I missed it. You’ll find time and patience to paint again, some things come and go based on time constraints, finances, or just other life things coming up, so if you miss it chances are you’ll pick it up again when the time is right 🙂

If I ever get a darkroom again I’ll make you come visit and we can process film all day! 🙂 *hugs*

            1. You know ,its an amazing thing when a poet paints. 🙂 I wish you get a darkroom to develop pictures and continue painting too. One day, I will visit your world. 🙂 Also, last time , I could not walk much , so I could not capture NYC well. I really want to spend a day at Grand central and click perfect shots of people [and other events around them] there. 😀 Have a great weekend , C.K 🙂

    1. Ha ha , That’s pretty similar in my case too. 🙂 If I have the camera , then it’s fine ; otherwise I observe everything/everyone outside . 😀 Thank you for the visit. 🙂

  2. Awesome! I love the tunnel. I’m not a photographer, but I do love taking pictures from the car– some of my favorite shots come from that vantage point. 🙂

So what do you think?
