On Fire

smoke

Best mother, wife, daughter, employee– too many medals wrestle with their respective gravity to grasp a piece of you.

One life. Countless confusions. Limitless horizons. One destination.

So you rise high like the valiant smoke rings, light enough to swirl around presumptions.

  1. I loved the first line for its truthfulness: “too many medals wrestle with their respective gravity to grasp a piece of you.” It’s so hard to win those medals, and it feels like it has to be done. Don’t we all feel the pressure to be the best mom, the best wife, the best daughter, the best employee? I love where you took this question. Thanks for linking it up!

    1. Thank you,Christine. I wrote that line because that’s what came to my mind after seeing your wonderful prompt: “Which way to go?” Thank you for the gargleblaster and stopping by.

  2. What a wonderful take on the prompt, loved it :-)It reminded me of a hindi poem I wrote some 20 odd years back-will share it with you 🙂

    1. Atreyee, I hope you’re doing well.

Thank you for stopping by today. I would love to read your poem; please share when you have time. 🙂 Rest well and tc 🙂

  3. That’s what I always believed in. Men or women, we have our identities and let’ make history with our lives rather than being confined to society’ gender bias:)

  4. No one knows which direction takes us to destination. Such a great take on that. Swirl around presumptions? Loved.

So what do you think?
