Someone once told me, only a fool tests the depth of the water with both feet. And I wondered if other ways were the best ways.
For me though, finding depth in books, human lives, ocean water, layers of a valley is one soul-stirring, fulfilling exercise.
Have you ever observed how every moment is multi-layered?
And how often we miss noticing them and call life a flat line, even when we’re breathing and alive!
A few years ago, while reading an article about happiness, I found this quote, “The depth of darkness to which you can descend and still live is an exact measure of the height to which you can aspire to reach.” Today it does not serve the same meaning to me. I think, it’s because, words change its depth and meaning over the time. Life keeps unfolding new chapters, changing older meanings, accepting newer ways to look into details. Does that happen to you too?
