5 Day Black & White Challenge: Day 1

Black and White Photography:Rainy Day

It rained on weekend.

Unlike other people of my little world, I love going out on a rainy day. Not without the camera. Most probably rain creates an escape route for me from this mundane world.  It becomes the entertainer and I, like an enthusiastic supporter from the audience, keep enjoying the show, without noticing the cold, or the inconvenience it creates sometimes. The ocean, the clouds, the freshly cleaned tree leaves, everything looks extra gorgeous after the rain. And have you ever sung in the rain? It’s the most glorious feeling, I can tell you.

I would like to thank Suyash for inviting me to participate in 5 day Black and White Challenge. I met Suyash at our favorite “WordPress Photo Challenge” event on a Friday last year. Suyash is a researcher with varied interests. His stories are as beautiful as his photographs where he shows new places from his travel diary. He also co-founded Aashayein Foundation. Half a decade ago, I came to know about Aashayein from my peers’ emails and was inspired by their stories. It’s a small world.

You can follow Suyash here and here.

Rules for this Black and White challenge:  1. Post a new black & white photo for five consecutive days, 2. Invite someone to participate each day.

On first day, I would like to invite you all to participate and show your world in black and white for five days. Now tell me, do you like rain and snowfalls? Does a rainy day make you walk back to your old neighborhood and school days?

  1. Aha…what a fabulous shot and sweet memories of a rainy day. Its an extraordinary experience and to carry your camera on a rainy day, is really a very brave attempt, I must say.

Thank you so much for this wonderful introduction. I am all humbled. I am glad through Daily Post challenge, we could meet up 🙂 🙂

  2. “And have you ever sung in the rain? It’s the most glorious feeling, I can tell you. ” – Yes, I have to agree!

So what do you think?
