Not all those who wander are lost

Not all those who wander are lost

This might be a design,
how our paths cross
and how we can share
our reflections,
scars, and hopes.

Maybe just a glance,
maybe a friendly
smile, or an aching
story on a dull day
before another stop.

There are destinations,
and there is this journey.
Here the perfection
lies in the fleeting
moments of our meetings.

Life does not wait until
we find our way to home.

Last week, while melting on a warm California evening and remembering one ( or many) of my friends, I wrote “A note from the evening.” I have such friend(s). I also have friends who ask me how I am doing when I keep my doors shut for a week. Life is balanced that way. Claudia read the post and could relate to the story. Many of you did. ( Huh! Such a relief to know I am not alone!) Claudia told her story in a beautiful way on “Finding Dorothy’s Shoes.” I say, it’s a must read! Go to her web home and maybe you can relate to the story too.

  1. There’s such a comfort in your words and the notion that we aren’t alone in our journeys. I’ve been writing a post (yet to be named) about being lost. You’ve inspired me to finish. Thank you, lovely friend. I’m off to read the shoes poem you noted – I am a Kansas girl and love the ruby reds. Xo

    1. Thank you very much, Michelle, for always bringing a smile on my face. Know that now I am eagerly waiting to read that post about being lost. Yesterday I was in my library and I realized how happy I feel when I am lost in those aisle full of books! Such a bliss in being lost too! ❤️ I loved how Claudia wrote about her story after reading mine- how beautifully some minds connect in the blog world! I hope you loved her post. Plus I love ruby red shoes too! Xo

So what do you think?
