I love these Daily Prompts, most are fun and few like this one are positively haunting, nudging you to look inwards and sometimes cajoling you to face your fears.
So, I will bite….
For the most part, I don’t consider myself creative, I can’t draw or paint, or build, I just write.
I squirm when people call me creative, I know you think I am either being modest or worse, suffering from Imposter syndrome.
I can sing, sometimes well, sometimes passably.
But the first time I discovered my creativity was when I had to write a play for a college group assignment, it was a social marketing project and other groups were busy working on their presentations, but our group came up with a play instead, and I wrote that play, and it was well received, like better than well received.
I realized I am mostly creative in high pressure situations, something about last minute glitches bring out the Houdini in me.
