A few years back, if you’d asked me what UIUX was, I probably would’ve responded with a puzzled expression and perhaps some Roman numerals thrown in for good measure. Back then, the world of UI/UX design seemed like an enigma wrapped in a mystery, shrouded in unfamiliar jargon and concepts.
But fast forward to today, and I find myself on a different page entirely. Through my experiences in content creation and product development, I’ve come to appreciate the role that UI/UX design plays in the success of digital products. It’s not just about creating something that looks pretty; it’s about crafting a seamless and immersive user experience that keeps you coming back for more.

I think of it in terms of how the appeal of a book, its cover design and font play an important role in our reading/buying decision. Or maybe, in the context of our immediate surroundings.
Since I started late, I needed a simple, user friendly tool to learn more about UIUX. And that’s where Figma came into play. Figma isn’t just your run-of-the-mill design software; it’s a game-changer for UI/UX designers everywhere, and also late entrants like yours truly.
Since it is a cloud-based platform, it allows multiple team members to collaborate on designs in real-time, making it easy to share feedback, iterate quickly, and stay on the same page throughout the design process.
So yes, while I may still be firmly rooted in the world of content creation, I now recognize that UI/UX design is the salsa that gives our creations their rhythm and flair.
Say oui, to UI ( I am truly, very very sorry for this rhyming)!
