Why the name Fingers in Symphony?

I chose the name of this blog after much thought and consideration, I wanted it to be a true reflection of my writing and thinking process.

What is the process, you may ask, as you should, as you must!

I write mostly because of this constant obsession with writing my thoughts down, as if for it to come into existence only when I see the familiar shapes of the alphabets.

Every time I get down to writing down my thoughts, I feel restlessness and fear. Restlessness to be unburdened by the thoughts weighing me down, fear of getting them wrong, or worse getting them incomplete. Nothing seems worse to me than not adequately expressing myself.

So, why do I call it Fingers in Symphony?

Because I write my words, just how I play my notes- by ear.

Whenever I am writing or playing the piano, my amygdala goes into overdrive, ensuring my fingers reproduce my thoughts. This happens similarly when I am playing a new song.

For more complex writing and music, I often get one word or one key right and then spend considerable time figuring out the next word or note, like an ant contemplating its next step.

This creates an unmistakable bond between piano and prose, rhyme and rhythm…. you get the point, so I will stop here.

If my writing process resonates with you, do share your blog links in the comments and I will make sure to follow and connect with you.

Keep Writing, Keep Vibing…
