Outfit is skin deep or not…

Daily writing prompt
If you were forced to wear one outfit over and over again, what would it be?

Nature intended us to wear that one outfit every day-our skin, but we don’t because humans are not comfortable in their own skin, so we invented clothes to hide ourselves, more so if you’re a woman.Nature intended us to wear only one outfit every day—our skin. However, we don’t because humans are not comfortable in their own skin, figuratively & literally. So, we invented clothes to protect and hide ourselves.

Invented some 40,000 years ago, textile and clothing have served more than just a biological purpose. It became a means of expressing identity, status, and modesty. Yet, behind this evolution was a deep-seated discomfort with our natural selves. For women, this discomfort is often magnified by societal expectations and norms that dictate not just what is acceptable to wear, but how one should appear.

The fashion industry capitalizes on this discomfort aptly, perpetuating the idea that to be beautiful or acceptable, one must continually alter and enhance their appearance. This leads to an endless cycle of consumption and self-scrutiny, detracting from the simple truth that we were intended to feel comfortable in our own skin.

Apologies if you were looking for a more direct response, I would have gotten there sooner if not for the clothes that got in the way.

My go to outfit would be anything from my active wear shelf, they are super breathable and a blend of cotton and lycra, so also super soft.
