There are a multitude of things that I love about where I live, but the following three have to be my top favorites:
1.Walkable Roads– It’s a rarity where I live, but by some stroke of luck, I have a tiny stretch where I can stretch my legs without the fear of being mauled by a car. This stretch is an immediate mood lifter and a reminder of the many benefits of walkable roads & safe public spaces. We need better roads and safe walkable streets to be a priority in urban planning.

2. A lush green park– Again, I was immensely lucky to get a big park that can masquerade as a tiny forest at a stone’s throw. It’s a hidden gem, dense enough that snakes sometimes slither across the muddy running tracks during monsoons. This park is my sanctuary and the reason why I don’t run on treadmills anymore.

3. Lots of Green Cover– Everywhere I look around, I’m greeted by a rich green cover. This natural canopy has been a true blessing for my senses & also the inspiration behind my green thumb. During the monsoons, this greenery turns into a nature lover’s dream.
