July Writing Challenge- Day 8

I know “menstrually” isn’t a real word-because we’ve never thought of menstruation as an adjective. It’s always been boxed in as a noun or a verb, and always as a subject. Sometimes of shame, sometimes of clinical neglect, sometimes of outright discrimination.
But here’s the curious bit: my periods and travel plans have been syncing for a while now. On each of my last ten trips, I was menstruating.
Which leads me to conclude that my period is a bit of a vagabond, just like me.
It enjoys the comforts of hotel suites and car rides, new cuisines and changing landscapes. And strangely enough, when we’re on the move, it behaves. No last-minute meltdowns, no foggy moods, no surprise aches.
It’s a win-win for both of us.
