July Writing Challenge- Day 9
Comfort is for the brave hearted- those who seek the familiarity of routine, and stay committed to what they’ve known. Yet comfort seekers are unfairly dismissed as less enterprising than their adventure seeking counterparts. Well, that I feel is a tad bit unfair.
It’s not easy seeking comfort, you’ve got to make sacrifices to access comfort.
I look for comfort in everything.
I surround myself with comforting people & beasts who keep me comfortable with their presence.
I prefer comfort food to fancy food- anything that reminds me of home & childhood. I also try to replicate the same aroma in my kitchen.
And there are shows, movies & songs I return to over and over again, because they hold a kind of familiarity that nothing else can replace.
Comfort is an acquired taste and it requires dedication.
