At least for me!
July Writing Challenge- Day 10
Every day I retire to bed with Kindle App. I want to sleep early & my mind tricks me into believing reading would be the fastest route to slumber.
Every night I get tricked & procrastinate on sleep with a book- some days it’s the same book, some days the books work in shifts and suddenly it’s post midnight & there’s no sign of sleep but an insatiable hunger for the stories.
Currently, I’m reading Piranesi by Sussana Clark- a book I got on a whim after a popular Twitter account praised it to the hilt.

The prose is atmospheric, with the opening pages written to draw you back to them again and again.
It’s also interesting because the book is about a mysterious man/ young adult named Piranesi who is one of the few survivors in a post- apocalyptic world.
He lives alone in an endless home or perhaps mansion frequently visited by an ocean and sometimes another man he calls the Other. He remembers nothing of his previous life and its remnants in the form of bodies gracing his infinite home.
While I finish Piranesi and do a larger post about it, I also read other books- some new and some old- in a way I’m like Piranesi.
