I overthink and stalk all possible illnesses

What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?

It’s a universal truth that if you overthink something, it will never happen to you( or is it the other way around?).

Well, this has worked for me in most situations. For instance, I have had a mortal fear of chicken pox ( varicella zoster virus), I have never had it, despite being in the vicinity of others, multiple times throughout my long existence. But instead, I became obsessed with the virus. I learnt that, if if you hadn’t had it in your childhood and got it later, it will be nastier, like ‘morbid’ nasty.

You might lose your sight, your voice, or even in rare conditions, your life.

I obsessively searched for ways to prevent getting it in adulthood and gifted myself the adult shot for it some years back.

But even now, every flu season I get paranoid. I stay far away from people, mask up and wash my hands religiously.

So far, it has proven effective, but you never know…….
